Say it with lingerie

Almost every clothes shop on the High Street has a section for underwear and most ladies shops have a good range of reasonably priced lingerie. Most shop assistants are happy to help you pick out the perfect set, and some shops such as John Lewis have taken this one step further by asking you the type of thing you want then letting you have a cup of tea or coffee whilst they go and do the looking for you.

Specialist lingerie shops are a rung further up the underwear ladder. Outlets such as Figleaves and Agent Provocateur are almost guaranteed to come up trumps with the perfect set for your lady and stock a huge range of styles and sizes. Figleaves underwear is sold in some shops but you may find there is more choice if you browse their website. Agent Provocateur also has a good website and a shop in central London.

If you want to go one stage further then there is always designer brand lingerie. Go to the flagship stores in London’s Bond Street to see the full range available but expect to pay designer prices too. Lingerie is a winner; just make sure you know her size.
