Fisher-Price toys are immortal classics!

In 1931, three entrepreneurs, Herman Fisher, Irving Price and Helen Schelle, braved the great Depression to set up what would become one of the largest and most successful toy companies in the world!

They brought a humble 16 toys to the International Toy Fair in New York City and thus planted the seed of the dynasty that was to come!

Fisher-Price toys are not easily classified. Over the years the company has successfully branched out into every conceivable type of toy there is. Fisher-Price now produce, among other things, board games, dolls, play-sets, action figures, buildings, models, vehicles and planes. In fact, the only way to divide up the Fisher-Price toy list is by age; They make toys for infants, toddlers and preschoolers!

Here's our pick of the toys in each category!

• Infants - We recommend checking out the Fisher-Price rattles and teethers. In particular, try the Peaceful Planet Sunflower Rattle which makes rain noises. A handy way to get a little one to sleep!
• Toddlers - We think the The Stack 'n' Build Choo Choo ($14), the Spiral Speedway, or the Happy Bulldozer will suit. All will entertain and thus occupy the wildest toddlers!
• Infants - We recommend checking out the Fisher-Price Workshop and tools. It builds co-ordination while entertaining! This type of educational toy is something Fisher-Price have always been wonderful at. You should have a look at the extended range!
